eVisaFlow Privacy Policy

How eVisaFlow handles passport profiles, OCR images, account data, Google Sign-In, and Chrome extension permissions.

Last updated: July 9, 2026

01 Introduction

eVisaFlow ("we", "us", or "our") provides products that save passport profiles, scan passport MRZ data, and autofill forms on supported official visa and arrival-card websites. Current products are Chrome extensions. This policy explains what data eVisaFlow accesses, how it is used, and which choices you control.

02 Information eVisaFlow Accesses

eVisaFlow accesses the following information only to provide its passport workspace and autofill features:

  • Passport profile data you enter or save, such as name, passport number, nationality, date of birth, gender, passport issue date, passport expiry date, and related travel-form information.
  • Contact and default form settings you enter, such as email address, phone details, occupation, travel details, and country-specific form defaults.
  • Passport images or MRZ images you choose to scan for OCR recognition.
  • Extension settings, selected country module, saved tab state, OCR thumbnails, language preference, and display preferences stored with Chrome storage.

eVisaFlow does not read arbitrary webpages. It runs only on the supported government visa and arrival-card domains declared in the extension manifest, plus eVisaFlow domains used for account, subscription, and OCR services.

03 How We Use This Information

eVisaFlow uses this information to save and search passport profiles, prepare autofill data for supported official forms, show on-screen progress feedback during autofill, identify duplicate passport records, process OCR scans, enforce account and plan limits, and optionally sync data to your Google Drive when you enable that feature.

04 Local Storage and Downloads

By default, passport profiles, form defaults, thumbnails, and extension settings are stored locally in Chrome storage on your device. The extension may also save passport image files through Chrome's downloads API when you choose features that store or export images locally. Data remains on your device unless you use a feature that sends it to eVisaFlow for OCR or account services, or you enable Google Drive sync.

05 Passport OCR

Passport OCR is an optional account feature. When you submit a passport image for OCR, the extension compresses and sends the image to the eVisaFlow OCR processing service over HTTPS. The OCR processing service processes the image to read passport data and returns the recognition result to the extension. To support asynchronous processing and polling, eVisaFlow temporarily stores the uploaded image and OCR result only for the short request window, then deletes the temporary image and clears the stored recognition result. OCR images and results are used only to provide the scan result and service controls; they are not used for advertising, marketing, user profiling, or model training.

06 Optional Google Drive Sync

Google Drive sync is optional. If you connect Google Drive, eVisaFlow uses Google OAuth and the Google Drive API to create or update files in your own Drive, including passport_data.json and related passport image files used for backup and restore. These files are stored in your Google account, and you can disconnect Drive sync from the extension.

07 Account and Subscription Data

If you sign in with Google, eVisaFlow receives basic account information such as your email address, name, and profile identifier so we can authenticate you, issue eVisaFlow session tokens, restore your session, check plan limits, and manage subscription access. Payment and subscription operations are handled through eVisaFlow's billing system and payment provider; the extension does not store payment card details.

08 Chrome Permissions

eVisaFlow requests only the permissions needed for its features:

  • storage - stores passport profiles, settings, thumbnails, language preference, and session data.
  • sidePanel - shows the passport workspace and fill controls beside supported websites.
  • webNavigation - detects navigation changes in multi-step official forms.
  • downloads - saves or opens locally stored passport image backups when you use those features.
  • unlimitedStorage - prevents local passport profiles and image thumbnails from being constrained by default browser storage limits.
  • identity - supports Google sign-in and optional Google Drive authorization.

09 Host Permissions

eVisaFlow declares host permissions for supported government visa and arrival-card websites so it can detect form pages and inject the passport and travel data you choose to autofill. It also declares eVisaFlow service domains for account login, subscription checks, OCR requests, and product service communication.

10 Data Sharing

We do not sell your passport data, form data, Google account data, or Google Drive data. We do not use this data for advertising, creditworthiness, or unrelated profiling. We share data only as needed to provide the feature you requested, comply with law, protect the service, or process account and payment operations.

11 Data Retention and Deletion

Local data remains in Chrome storage or your local downloads until you delete it, clear extension data, or uninstall the extension. Google Drive backup files remain in your Google Drive until you delete them or revoke access. You can delete your eVisaFlow account in Account Settings. When you delete your account, eVisaFlow deletes the user data associated with that account, disconnects Google sign-in, signs you out, removes that account's product access and benefits, and cancels active subscriptions so future renewals stop.

12 Your Choices

You can delete saved passport profiles in the extension, clear extension data in Chrome, disconnect Google Drive sync, revoke Google access in your Google account, export or remove local backups, and delete your eVisaFlow account in Account Settings. If you later sign in with the same Google account, eVisaFlow creates a new account. Previous orders, subscriptions, OCR credits, and product benefits are not carried over automatically. You should review all official forms before final submission. After you launch the extension, eVisaFlow fills the saved information, but it does not review forms, make payments, or submit applications on your behalf.

13 Children's Privacy

eVisaFlow is not directed to children. It is for travel documents and official forms used by adults or authorized travel agents. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

14 Google API Limited Use

eVisaFlow's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide user-facing extension features such as sign-in and optional Drive sync, and is not used for advertising.

15 Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when eVisaFlow functionality, data handling, or service providers change. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
