Vietnam eVisa and pre-arrival are different
A Vietnam eVisa is a visa application workflow on evisa.gov.vn. The pre-arrival registration on prearrival.immigration.gov.vn is an entry-related form. It does not replace visa approval, and it should not be treated as the same process as an eVisa application.
Official OCR and eVisaFlow OCR
On the Vietnam eVisa website, the first step may ask you to upload a passport image so the official page can read passport information. eVisaFlow should be used as a preparation and checking layer: keep a passport profile ready, compare the official OCR result with your saved passport data, and prepare trip, contact, and stay information that the official page still asks you to review.
The Vietnam pre-arrival website does not work the same way as the eVisa passport-photo step. eVisaFlow can use your saved passport profile and OCR-supported passport data to help prepare the registration information before you review and submit it.
